What Happens In A Breastfeeding Home Visit?

Step 1: Discussion

We go over the challenges you’ve been having, as well as any advice you’ve been given and things you’ve tried.

Step 2: Observation

I’ll ask you to feed your baby as you have been, and I’ll watch to see if I can spot any potential problems or issues.

Step 3: Assessment

With your permission, I’ll do a full check of your baby’s mouth and tongue, as well as any damage to your breasts.

Step 4: The Plan

With your input, we’ll co-create a plan to get your feeding back on track in a way that works best for you.

Step 5: Questions?

Before I go, I’ll answer any questions and address any other concerns you might have

Step 6: After Care

You’ll receive a detailed care plan with everything we discussed. If anything isn’t working, get in touch and we can change it!

Breastfeeding on The Blog

“Kirsten has a wealth of experience in everything feeding related from her work with breastfeeding groups, her own personal experiences and the countless new mums that I know who she has helped. She has an incredibly compassionate and supportive approach and makes you feel completely comfortable, really listens to you and shares helpful ideas and guidance. I would have no hesitation in recommending her as a wonderful lactation consultant.”
